Chasing the Paralympic dream

Despite only being 21, athlete Emmanuel Oyinbo-Coker is already showing huge promise, with aspirations to achieve the world record in his para classification of T47.

The sprinter won the men’s 100m final at Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games in front of a home crowd. He added this title to his gold in the men’s T47 100m at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2022.

However, Emmanuel narrowly missed out on a Paralympic debut in Tokyo when he failed to register the qualifying time he needed. It was a huge setback but now he’s working hard to raise his game with his heart set on the Paris 2024 games.
