Bupa member at just 18 hours old
When members Nick Davenport and Karen Davenport became parents for the first time, their thoughts immediately turned to Bupa. Could this beautiful baby girl be Bupa's youngest ever member?
Little Jamie-Lee was registered as a Bupa member on her parents' existing policy when she was just 18 hours old. Ensuring their baby had the protection of Bupa cover was a priority for her proud parents, Nick and Karen.
Doting dad Nick said: "Jamie-Lee is absolutely gorgeous and she's the most precious thing in our lives, so it's natural that we would want to protect her.
"As soon as she was born I wanted to make sure that she had access to the best medical care possible. Medical insurance is one of those things that you take out and pray you never have to use, but at least we can now rest assured that she'll be in safe hands if she ever does need any treatment."
"Karen and I ride horses so we have them insured, and we have our cars and ourselves insured, so it's only natural to want cover for Jamie-Lee."
Nick and Karen's Bupa policies were set up by Bupa healthcare adviser Edna Maule-Finch, so she was thrilled when she got a call from Nick announcing their new arrival.
Edna said: "I was one of the first people to hear of the birth after their immediate family so I was very flattered and excited for them.
"It just goes to show how important Bupa is to members, and now Bupa will be part of Jamie-Lee's life from the very beginning. She was probably the youngest member we had at the time of her registration - it was wonderful."
