Overgrown school area set for a makeover... Bupa style!
28 August 2007
Two Bupa Health Insurance teams are getting ready to get their hands dirty on Wednesday 29th August. They are set to clean up what is currently an overgrown area for local children at Brownlow Fold Primary School, Bolton. The school has an area that has become overgrown and dangerous for pupils so Bupa employees have offered to transform it to enable the space to be used as an outdoor learning environment.
The school lacked the funds to clean up the area. Fortunately, Bupa employees from the insurer's 24-hour nurse helpline and care management teams have come to the rescue and are ready and willing to get stuck into the unkempt spot.
Bupa's Paul Hayward and Celeste Martin-Ross are co-leading the project. Paul said: "I am really looking forward to helping on this challenge. Working to create an outdoor learning environment for children will really make a huge difference to the school. I know we are all feeling really excited that we will be giving something back to a community of children that really do need our help."
The Bupa employees will be busy, busy, busy on Wednesday cutting back the hedges and clearing the way for the learning area along the side of the school. With the prospect of sunshine on the day, the makeover "Bupa style" will hopefully bring a brighter outlook for the local children for many days to come.
