Bupa North Cheshire Hospital shortlisted for National Customer Service Awards

Top satisfaction ratings from patients, consultants and staff have helped Bupa North Cheshire Hospital earn a place in the finals of the forthcoming National Customer Service Awards.
The hospital has been shortlisted in the category for management team of the year in the annual event, which is run by Customer Management magazine.
Ninety-three percent of patients surveyed in the latest satisfaction scores rated the service at Bupa Hospital North Cheshire as "excellent" or "very good". Consultant satisfaction is 10 percent above the average for Bupa hospitals, staff satisfaction has increased from 64 percent to 71 percent over the past four years and the regulator, the Healthcare Commission, ranks North Cheshire among the top 10 independent hospitals in the UK for meeting standards.
The hospital has also recorded a four percent increase in its core business, from insured patients, and led the way in working with the NHS, and is expecting to treat more than 1,000 patients on its behalf in the next 12 months.
Alison da Silva, the hospital's general manager said: "First and foremost running a hospital means keeping people safe from harm and helping them to get better. The hospital's success is dependent on a strong and motivated management team, backed up by a dedicated set of people supporting us in the wards, in reception, and in theatres. To be shortlisted for such a prestigious award is a great way for all of us to be recognised."
