Bupa unveils new nursing home in Bromsgrove
16 April 2007
Residents at a new Bupa nursing home in Bromsgrove will enjoy access to some of the best care home facilities in the country, including flat screen TVs and DVD facilities in every room, a library area, hair salon, communal lounges with large screen TVs and satellite services.
Due to open at the end of the year, Bupa Heathbrook House has been designed to provide a real home from home for its residents. Offering long and short term nursing care for older people, the home’s facilities will include 45 single rooms, each with 24-hour nurse call system and full shower en-suite. Six rooms on the ground floor will have patio doors onto landscaped gardens, where residents will be able to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the local countryside.
Unveiling an artist’s impression of the home, Alistair How, Bupa Care Homes operations director, said: “It’s very exciting for all of us to see what the home will look like when it’s finished and we look forward to welcoming as many people from the local area to the opening later this year, so they can see it for themselves. We will be holding community events such as open days, fetes and tea parties so even if you don’t know anyone living in the home we hope you’ll find the doors open to you.”
The home is located on the site of Abberley House, a former manor house on Worcester Road, close to the village of Stoke Heath, approximately one mile from Bromsgrove town centre.
