Bupa Individual Protection appoints Chief Underwriter

Bupa Individual Protection has appointed Chris Pollard as Chief Underwriter.
Chris, whose previous roles include Chief Underwriter at Skandia Insurance, has a wealth of knowledge and experience. He is well known within the protection industry having worked on various industry bodies such as the Association of Medical Underwriters and Select 74.
Commenting on the appointment, Steve Payne, Director of Individual Protection said: "We are delighted that someone of Chris’s stature has joined us. His skills and expertise will assist in the development of the business and underpins our commitment to the intermediary protection market."
Recent developments at Bupa Individual Protection include the appointment of Mark Anders as National Sales Manager, enhancements to its award winning critical illness plans offering customers cover for 37 conditions including 14 additional ones above the ABI minimum standard and enhancements to its extranet enabling brokers to write new business speedily and efficiently.
