Volunteering programmes

Education is a key focus for Community Connections. Last year Bupa people volunteered more than 16,000 hours helping to improve substantially the education of over 1260 school children across the UK through volunteering. Last year, Bupa invested the equivalent of over £300,000 in staff volunteering time, highlighting the importance we place in improving the future of our young people.

Community Connections has created seven schemes for Bupa staff, offering volunteering opportunities ranging from mentoring to coaching football teams.

Forty-seven percent of volunteers say volunteering has improved their physical health and their fitness levels are higher. So not only are we helping our communities, we are also helping to keep our staff fit and healthy as well.

Volunteering has greatly enriched the lives of so many of our Bupa people and our volunteers continue to make a big difference in the communities in which Bupa operates.
